Salkantay Trek was a good alternative to the Inca Trail being more about the landscape. The snow peaked mountain and valley views were amazing. Santa Teresa Hot Springs was one of the highlights after a weary hike up the mountain pass to the highest point and ascending down the other side of the pass the previous day. Going through the cloud forest and passing lots of flora and fauna along the way including waterfalls. Camping out in the cloud forests was an enjoyable experience surrounded by mountains.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the area. Our last day at Machu Picchu was exactly as I had envisaged it to be surrounded by lush green mountains-valleys. The service was good and the staff tried very hard to ensure we were as comfortable as possible, and we enjoyed our time. The food was also very good and with variety.
