the actual trek was one of the best experiences of our travels led by an enthusiastic guide, we walked between snowy mountains, vast jungle areas and around stunning lakes and waterfalls. every day was different and we were encouraged to walk at a pace that was comfortable but also challenging for us. About food, was amazing, there was always plenty of it and it was always great quality. as a vegetarian I was very well catered to.
Arriving at Machu Picchu at sunrise on the final day was unforgettable. although we were all exhausted after a 4 day hike, we definitely had enough energy to enjoy our spectacular surroundings. Once again our guide gave us a fantastic and informative tour.
