We had one of the most wonderful trips I could imagine. Our tour guide did a great job of explaining the history, taking us on a wonderful trek, and teaching us the ways and customs of the country.
It was really nice having the cooks and the porters take care of setting up tents, cooking up food, cleaning after us, and carrying our bags. My feet are very sore, but it was totally worth it. We got perfect weather and had the hike of our lives. Everyone in our group bonded really well and enjoyed each other and the nature we were in.
I really would recommend this trip to anyone. The Salkantay Trail is more difficult than the Inka trail but has many advantages. I really hope that you all have a chance to see what we did. Machu Picchu was the very end of the journey and breathtaking. I enjoyed the days leading up to it just as much. The food the cooks made was delicious. They always gave us fresh boiled water and snacks for the day. Our tour guides name was Fisher and he was a very friendly and educated person.
Thank you so much for letting us be a part of this.
