We had an enjoyable Inca Trail experience. The first day was hot and sunny, and the scenery was even more beautiful than I had imagined. The second day was colder and overcast. On the way through Dead Woman's Pass it began to rain and it was very cold.
From the saddle the weather cleared and we had impressive views of the valleys in both directions. Our guide decided to push our group and carry on to our planned third campsite on the second day, which made for 11 hours of hiking and a very challenging day.
The third day was sunny and beautiful again. We made it to Machu Picchu and slept in Aguas Calientes. Our final day was magical, starting off misty and then clearing up by noon. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
