Alternates ok too

As I took the alternate route via horse I was not with the group the entire time. I enjoyed riding via mule (small horse which was good with me as I am less then five feet tall).

I did get to meet the cooks and horse men and they were all very personable. Our guide Victor was also very personable and had a great positive attitude.

I want all to know that using the alternate horse verses walking is just as hard and enjoyable and there is no shame to making that choice. It seems people do not feel challenged doing so but should not.

It would be nice though if the horse could leave with the walkers...
