Chat on WhatsAppI've always heard of the great, Incan city of Machu Picchu, but didn't know much about its history. With the help of my brother, we booked a trip to Peru through Inca Trail Reservations via a referral to the service. I didn't know many details of the trip, but our host and tour guide, Carlos, made the whole trip run smoothly from start to finish.
Starting out, I felt well prepared from the documentation provided to us by ITR. The first day was a nice "warm up" along the Inca Trail while my excitement was building towards our destination, Machu Picchu. Day 2 proved to be a challenge ascending to "Dead Woman's Pass". The ascent was difficult, but ultimately rewarded by amazing views and awesome meals provided by the cook. Our sleeping arrangements were comfortable, thanks to the hard work of the porters. Day 3 was a change of scenery as the environment moved closer into the jungle with more Inca sites and history from our guide. The final day arriving to Machu Picchu was well worth the effort and Inca Trail Reservations made it a very enjoyable experience the entire time.
