Chat on WhatsAppThis trip had been planned for over nine months. We did a lot of research and thought we were prepared for the upcoming hike. To our amazement this was a lot more than we expected. The first day was a great hiking day (let me say the weather was fantastic) it was what I expected, enjoyed the landscape.
The second day is a whole different story. The hike was a killer. The last 750 ft to the top tested my endurance and will. Hard to believe I made it. I couldn't believe they expected us to hike downhill after that. That was really hard. The third day was just about as hard as the second day, when we rounded the corner for our first view of Machu Picchu the hike was well worth it.
This is one of the best experiences in my life, I got to share this with my daughter. Victor, our guide, was fantastic as well as Jorge. I would recommend this trip to any avid hiker. Thanks for a lifetime of memories.
