This was one of the most difficult and best experiences of my life. I was in a group of pretty young in shape individuals and had a little difficulty keeping up but our guide and group did a wonderful job of keeping everyone together and challenged. I learned a lot of native culture from our guide – things I would have never learned from a book. The trek was the best part of the trip. Equipment was all up to par. Food was beyond expectations!. Probably on par if not better than some of the food I had in Cusco restaurants.
