Cusco is the most fascinating city I have been to in my life. The city is surrounded by many Incan ruins that each have their own interesting story that connects them all together. I liked exploring the ruins and listening to the history and significance of each place. I spent two days before the Incan Trail tour exploring the ruins in order to become acclimated to the high altitude.

Inca Trail Reservations explained all the details of our hike before we left Cusco and were very friendly, helpful, and informative of all the sites along the trail. My favorite part was the four day hike to Machu Picchu were we followed the Urubamba River, hiked up to almost fourteen thousand feet, descending into a beautiful rain forest, before eventually entering Machu Picchu on the fourth day.

Along the way we stayed at beautiful campsites where we saw the night sky full of stars, ate plenty of great food, enjoyed wonderful company with people from different countries and learned about their culture, and had one of the best times of my life. Just bring equipment to stay dry, good hiking shoes or boots, and stay hydrated and you will have one of the best times of your life.

I recommend Inca Trail Reservations because they are very professional, helpful, with knowledgeable guides and friendly porters.
