Overall the trip was a great experience and a dream come true after teaching about the Inca for 12 years.
My favorite part of the trek was taking a break along the path to listen to our knowledgeable tour guide talk about the environment and history. Our tour guide also did a fabulous job of meeting the needs of a very diverse group of trekkers. Some people moved faster than most and made the rest of us feel very uncomfortable.
Our guide seemed to be a great peacemaker meeting the needs of both sides. The toughest part was the second day. If it were just two hours shorter I could have avoided a lot of blisters. My favorite part was just experiencing the land of the Inca. I also enjoyed the hot springs and the zip line option.
The food was delicious and the accommodations were excellent. It was an unforgettable experience that I will never forget.
