Breathless

It's been an amazing adventure I loved discovering the beauty of the Salkantay trail, from the mountains, glaciers, lakes, rivers and pastures to the forests, plantations, farm land, villages and rivers.

Our guide Cesar not only kept up our spirits during the steep climbs and cold nights but also told us about the fascinating history and culture of the Inka people as well his botanic knowledge.

The chef cooked wonderful meals, all beautifully presented and varied. How he did it all on a couple of camping stoves, I don't know?!.

For those wanting an adventure that's full of amazing scenery, laughs and history I could not recommend the Salkantay trek more. Even for the vintages out there it's a must!.
