Chat on WhatsAppMy 65th birthday was approaching and we were about to commence an adventure and experience to tick off one of my big bucket list items the Inca Trail ,to the magical Machu Picchu!
We started day one on my actual birthday which was a buzz in itself with a great group of similar minded adventures from various parts of the world, ably lead by our guides Paul and Jimmy.
Day one hike was a great intro to the trail walking through beautiful areas to end at a beaut camping area with the brilliant support team of porters etc having everything set us for our arrival.
Highlight of the day was at dinner with the arrival of a terrific birthday cake, with all the support crew singing happy birthday and wishing me a happy birthday with a hug. ONE OF MY MEMORABLE BIRTHDAYS.
The rest of the walk to Machu Picchu lived up to the wonderful first day and a memorable bucket list experience.
