Conquering the misty mountains of Peru

This was a unique experience that is recommended for those looking for adventure. The first day was a gentle walk to acclimatize to the altitude, followed by a trek up a hill to swim in a glacial like – so refreshing !!. The second day was the most difficult, and involved passing the Salkantay pass up to 4600 meters. On this day, we experienced such a variation in climate from Arctic winds on top of the pass to jungle heat at the bottom, so make sure you pack appropriately. Other activities were a trip to hot springs, and zip lining which are both recommended. All the while we were supplied with excellent food by our chef, Beltran. An excellent experience.
