Excellent 4 day hike. The scenery negated the difficult incline on day two and three and the guides thoroughly explained the lay of the land. As for the portering and food, the organization and quality was exemplary.
Not only did we not go hungry, the tents were erected for dinning and sleeping upon our arrival to every checkpoint. I highly recommend the walking poles offered by Inca Trail Reservations as they provided the confidence and stability to get through some tricky parts of the trek.
It is worth noting Inca Trail Reservation's admin (emails and transference of permits) were prompt and clear in their explanation. Best hike I've ever been on, no hassles whatsoever.
