Difficult but worth it

The weather did not hold up every day, but on the final day when we reached Machu Picchu it was perfect. Well worth the trip and money. The hike is very difficult (especially the second day) but we felt super accomplished after summiting a nearly 15,000 ft mountain. Great hike.

The worst part was the bathroom situation: not always clean, but the food and guide were terrific ! I would suggest getting a light pack, as our packs were super heavy and very difficult to pack up said mountain. Having our tents set up when we got to each camp was awesome, and the cooks were amazing.
