Despite early rises, questionable toilet facilities, and severe doubtfulness as to the durability of my calves, the exquisite scenery and my attained sense of pride made everything worth it. Each day was accompanied by sprawling mountain views and clear blue skies, followed by dark black skies dotted with brilliant stars. I enjoyed this trip immensely and definitely plan to make the journey back, with the intention of completing the 25 day Amazon trek.
