Chat on WhatsAppOne of the best experiences I've had so far. Paul and Marco are amazing guides - funny, easy going, nice cool guys from the mountains.
They explained everything so well, told us history and stories about the trail, entertained us and gave a hand whenever it was needed. What they are doing is more than just a job to them. Even though we climbed those mountains in the rainy season we had awesome weather and didn't get wet at all.
To all those porters up there, you are superheroes! The greatest respect and admiration to you. Also to the chefs. The food was delicious. Can't imagine what you could do in a proper kitchen. The way is the destination. Visiting this magical city only by train wouldn't have been the same. All the sweat and pain is totally worth it.
Only this way you get this unique experience and the satisfaction of what you have accomplished.
