I went to Machu Picchu with two of my brothers and a friend. Although we struggled with altitude sickness on our first day in Peru, we didnt have much trouble on the hike.
During the hike, we learned a lot about inca history thanks to our tour guide, Paul. The hike was challenging due to the high slopes, but the trail was beautiful enough that it didnt bother me.We passed many ruins and the biews from themountaintops were incredible. What was suprising was the quality of the food, which was made for us by a chef that came with us.
Finally arriving at Machuu Picchu felt so much more gratifying then if I had taken a train there.
