Eloy’s pumas

We went on the Salkantay trek with guide Eloy. He was brilliant- personal touches like playing local instruments along the way, and plenty of useful information too.

Him, the cooks, the porter were all really friendly and helpful. We never waited for food and when we arrived at camp each day everything was already set up.

While the trek is challenging and you cover quite long distances each day, it is absolutely worth it and Eloy and his team always went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

I would highly recommend this trek and Inca Trail Reservations - we dealt with Xiomara who was brilliant.
