Exhilaration every day

October 2014. Hiking the 4 day Inca Trail... a dream come true. I knew it was going to be tough but didn't realize I would struggle to get enough air as we ascended so many stairs and ache as we descended many more but the exhilaration I felt as I reached the destination each day was worth the discomfort !

With Victor as our guide, encouraging us all the way, stressing the importance of safety we felt happy and safe. Then the climax was to see the ruins of Machu Picchu appear out of the clouds. There was so much good food and great company but the best part was being able to do this trip with my family !
