The journey over the last few days is definitely one that I will never forget. The night before the trip, our tour guide, Juan Carlos, first briefed us on what to expect and I must admit that I was quite anxious. Upon meeting our porters the next morning, however, I felt more at ease. Their warm demeanor and kind smiles helped me to realize that we were in good hands. In terms of the sights, I don\’t think there are any words to describe how stunning the trail is. While the walk certainly wasn\’t easy, it was worth it. Seeing the clouds part from the Sun Gate this morning to reveal Machu Picchu was a surreal experience. I greatly appreciate every single person who helped to make this experience special.
