Glacier to Jungle

The start of the trip was stunning with the hike and time spent at the lake. Then, the trek to Salkantay was beautiful and challenging. Dinner was delicious and very welcome after what seemed like a long day even though the longest day was only hours away. Descending into the valley after completing the final push to the Salkantay pass was hard after lack of sleep, altitude and the cold starting temperatures was stunningly beautiful. Rony was great all along especially while my girlfriend was suffering from varying altitude sickness symptoms the first two days. The only thing that is currently unfortunate and frustrating about this trip is arriving to our hotel in Aguas Calientes to discover that we did not have any hot water to take a shower after looking forward to a hot shower after four days of trekking and waiting until this day to take a hot shower. As of now after an hour and a half waiting for it to be fixed we're hoping that Rony can help us get this problem solved after dinner. Again, overall an amazing experience.
