Gringo-ing hiking

I thought this was a well-paced hike and a great way to immerse yourself in the Inca experience.

The hike was not easy at times, especially coming from below sea level to 9-12 thousand feet at times, but the reward is in the journey. The scenery itself is stunning and even breathtaking at times, but there are several Inca sights along the way that make you marvel in the archeological accomplishments of these people that you won't fully grasp just taking the train to Machu Picchu.

The company was very professional from the time I made my first inquiry via the website until our final tour at our incredible final destination. The staff was very responsive and helpful during the planning phase of our trip, which I found immensely helpful as someone who has never planned an international trip.

Our tour guide, Marco, was very knowledgable and very helpful in getting us to each destination and ensuring we understand the significance of the Inca empire and heritage.

Our team worked tremendously hard at transporting our camping and cooking supplies. I was so impressed that they were able to not only carry so much gear (a lot faster than any of the hikers), but that they were always waiting at each campsite with freshly cooked food and our gear set up, which made the trip a great experience.

Overall, the experience was not always easy (for me as an inexperienced hiker), but completely worth it!
