This was my first trek in South America and I had been looking forward to it for three years. Booking the reservations was an easy experience, aside from of course the long lead time required to make the booking.
After the booking we received several emails explaining the process and expectations to help guide us to ensure we had the preparations necessary.Upon arrival in cusco we had a pre-trek meeting to discuss the itinerary and help set our mind at ease.
Day one of the hike was easy, a practice walk to get the blood flowing. Lunch was good, but not quite enough.
Day two was a test of manhood. Didn't get lunch until after claiming a mountain higher than everest. Then had dinner later at the same camp site. Food was good, but again not quite enough to go around. The tents providThe first day of the ed were dated, old and square. They weren't big enough to fit me, so I had to sleep diagonal every night. I'm only six foot one so I think they could perhaps update the tents.
The third and fourth day were great, of course the views were outstanding the whole of the trip.Arriving at Macchu Piccu was great and Victor was a great tour guide the whole trip. Ultimately I was very happy with the company, the trek, the views, and the whole experience and recommend it to others..
