It started early in the morning, we were picked up at our hotel, not really knowing what to expect.
After some hours of crazy Peruvian driving, we arrived at the starting point to the Salkantay trek. And this was the start to the hardest, though most wonderful, trek I've ever done. Steep rises, high attitude, long days, early wake-ups, temperatures from cold to hot were compensated by an outstanding group, brilliant leader (Paul), delicious cooking by the chefs and the feeling of achieving the camp.
And most important: the wonderful Andes of Peru with its beautiful Flora and Fauna.I'd recommend to everyone to give this trek a chance, it's unforgettable!!
