Salkantay is an experience of a lifetime. Me and my four best friends came on a trip with Miguel and found the entire journey breathtaking. Be warned this trip is physically demanding but under the watchful eye of Miguel we all felt like we had conquered Salkantay together. The food and camping were wonderful. I was so impressed with the entire staff. They treat you like family and provide whatever you need. They were super accommodating when we were sick or sore. They pitch your tent and provide you with a wonderful meal after a long day of strenuous hiking. There is nothing that feels better. Miguel speaks English well and is super excited to talk about Peruvian culture, Inkan history, and his own story. Incredible friendly and cracking jokes all the time he lifts the group spirit and will get you there. There is no other way that I would recommend getting to Machu Picchu and there is no other group. Two thumbs way up.
