I have always wanted to see Machu Picchu so as a couple of adventures we decided why not hike our way there and learn about the history. From the start when we booked our trip through Inca Trail agency it was a pleasant experience. The staff kept us informed and helped us the whole way.
Once we arrived in Cusco we were presently greeted by a driver from the agency who took our bags and drove us to our hostel. After spending a few days in Cusco we had a meeting with the guide, who explained to us everything that would take place over our 4 day Trek to Machu Picchu. Leaving me well informed and ready for my adventure. On day one we were picked up at our hostel by our guide Juan Carlos and our 4 porters that would be with us for the Trek. Once we arrived at the start of the Inca Trail our guide took care of everything to include permits and access. The entire hike was such an incredible experience and made even better by the the company of our guide Juan Carlos.
He had so much knowledge and passion for the Inca Trail and left no question unanswered. The porters were pleasant and great company as well. The food they provided us was the best I had in Peru for the duration of my visit. After completing our hike and arriving at the magical city of Machu Picchu, Juan Carlos gave us a wonderful guided tour and once again handled all access for us. When everything was all said and done we were taken care of and transported back to Cusco.
Inca Trail Reservations agency and the affordable all inclusive package they provide is an amazing experience and one I would suggest to anyone.
