Horseback riding to the hugest point

After arriving in Cuzco less than 24 hours before the start of the trek, we ventured into the unknown that was the Salkantay Trail.

The first day was very hard as i was unprepared for the altitude or the cold, but our guides Victor, Frank, and Jackson were so encouraging and positive that i finished the first day with a smile. By the second day came, the altitude was really starting to affect me and Victor arranged for horses to take us to the highest point of that days hike. Ven though we were sad not to be hiking the views from the horse was so incredible that it was all worth it.

The rest of the trip was so fun that we forgot all about the altitude and just had a good time.
