Our guide was extremely patient and informative as we made our way to each camp and allowed us all to hike at our own comfortable pace. During the hike there were also many special and beautiful sights before we arrived at Machu Picchu.
The lagoon is definitely worth the journey and the top of the mountain allows for a great view of Salkantay and amazing photos. We also saw numerous waterfalls as our hike was at the end of rainy season. During the evenings our group was able to relax with hot tea.
I definitely recommend this hike as it is a great way to see the natural beauty of Peru. Bring warm clothes and extra outfits as your clothes will get wet!.
