You have to see that during the Inca Trail you will most likely encounter magnificent wildlife.

Shortly before reaching our final destination on the third day we stumbled upon an amazing display of nature.

5 lamas blocked the path for a group of about 10 persons who tried to cross a small bridge, because they were accompanied by 2 stray dogs which followed them since the beginning of the trip. I am not sure whether the lamas were racist yet they tried to stomp the little black dog, which for days had been trying to mount the bigger white dog.

Only the heroic effort by one girl of the group saved the little dogs life, who celebrated by mounting the other dog. This little dog continued to finish the whole inca trail with us.

Overall, a great adventure for us and the little dog.
