I climbed

Could not be done without guides and porters. Amazing adventure. Would have been easier 10 years ago but worth the pain :).

I climbed the stairway to heaven and found the god of the stairs. The scale of Machu Picchu is not possible realize in a photo. Three days of hiking including a peak of 14,000 feet seems silly at my age but with an encouraging group and a guide who was full of knowledge informing us of history and pointing out details on the trail took your mind off the pain of the climb.

I recommend the experience but know what you are going to and do the training. Happy climbing.
