The Inca Trail was an incredible experience. The food was shockingly good, the guides informed and the views breathtaking. With each step on the Incan trail, I felt knots of stress untying and I knew it was special.
It felt as if the mountain was willing me forward with each step. Each corner revealed a new jaw dropping vista. At each stop, smiling porters and friendly guides greeted us with refreshing beverages and a welcome seat.
The end result, Machu Pichu was full of tourists, arriving via bus or train. I couldn’t help but feel as if they betrayed the spirit of the mountain. The trail refined us, transformed and improved us.
