Chat on WhatsAppI had an amazing experience on the Inca Trail. It was very well organised with a helpful briefing the day before. We were able to hire all of the equipment we needed from Inca Trail Reservations (walking poles, tent, sleeping bags etc.) meaning that we didn´t have to buy or carry them for the duration of our trip in Peru.
Our guides, Juan-Carlos and Marco, were excellent. They were incredibly knowedgeable and could answer any question about the trail and the Inca sites and history of the area. They had a great sense of humour and were really encouraging, keeping us going through some tough uphill parts of the trek!
The whole service was brilliant during the trail; the porters, the guides and the equipment were all top quality. The views, scenery and trail were incredible- the trail was a challenging but completely amazing experience.
The only thing that would have made the experience slightly easier would have been a map of where to find our luggage on our final day- as it was left in a restaurant that we found it very difficult to find! A handout of where the luggage, train station and a contact number in case you can´t find them would have been really helpful.
Other than that, the experience was perfect with a friendly group and excellent service from Inca Trail reservations. I would reccommend the trail and the company to any friends of mine planning to come to Peru.
