Day 1: The first day of tour started with a relaxing and scenic hike from Km. 82, forwards our first camp site. From the start both our group of hikers and guide got us to a great start to our four day tour, and along with great weather we arrived in good time to our camp, for an excellent dinner.

Day 2: After a pretty warm and comfortable night, we got ready early for the toughest of our days of hiking, the cooks served us a nice and filling breakfast, which got us through the first tough hours. After several hours, we had stack together as a group and reached the highest peak of the tour (4200 m). It felt like an amazing accomplishment, and we finally got to the top of the mountain.

Day 3: Day 2 had taken a lot of our energy, but despite being the longest day, we got to learn a lot about the Inca culture as we passed several fascinating Inca sites. As we approached our last camp, we caught a glimpse of the Machu Picchu mountain, and got to bed early so that we would be the very first to reach the Sun Gate.

Day 4: A very rewarding morning as we hiked the last few hours to the Sun Gate and Machu Picchu. The view and perfect weather made it all a really rewarding trip, and looking down on the Inca site as the sun robe made it all very much warm all the hard work.

Overall, the guide and the team of porters and cooks made it a memory for life, along with a very friendly group of fellow hikers. A very rewarding 4 days.
