The team of porters was truly incredible. Having done the "porter challenge" for the insignificant 10 minutes I gained a huge amount of respect for these athletes. The food they prepared for us was also very impressive. I've had far worse food in restaurants, let alone 3000 m up a mountain (quite how the cake was made is beyond me). It is a true credit to their skills.
Our guides (Paul and Gilbert) were also fabulous. Paul really kept the team together with his dry humor and quick wit. The trail would have been a whole lot harder without them spurring us on.
The quality of the accommodation was good with the exception of a couple of broken zips which was a little difficult. All in all I had a splendid time. Many thanks.
