Chat on WhatsAppWow, the Inca Trail . I finally did it! I have been waiting to see the ancient city for many years and I can tell you for sure, I was not disappointed at all. The 4 day trek before reaching Machupicchu was such a great experience. Great flora and fauna, great food, great team and overall a once in a life time trip. Its certainly not a walk in the park (i.e. it’s not easy) but the out of breath pacings and rain showers all brought our team closer together and made for such a great set of laughs.
The incatrail reservation team was also amazing. Always willing to help, and Carlos our guide was very knowledgeable about each set of ruins we came across (there are a lot) on the trail and the wildlife we saw along the way. The porters were also great. They enjoyed the bad Spanish that was thrown at them and always treated us as if we were in an outside hotel.
The food was superb and catered for both veggie and non-veggie diets well. We never went hungry that’s for sure. I had such a good time I am pretty sure I am coming back with my girlfriend to repeat the whole experience. I also need to say a big thanks to the office team - a very professional service all round.
Thanks Incatrail reservations, you made a tough 4 day hike an absolute pleasure and I can’t wait to come back and do it again!
