Chat on WhatsAppThis is by far the best way to see Machu Picchu. The four day trek makes the prize of witnessing the awesome spectacle that is Machu Picchu that much more special! The tour was well organised with plenty of information provided before the trek and all questions answered fully. The staff were amazingly helpful, aiding us in booking hotels and would have provided transfers from the airport had we required it.
The trek itself was incredible. The porters are immense, making the trek possible. Without them, this would not be possible. Hats off to them!
The tour guides on the trek were brilliant. They had outstanding knowledge of all the Inca sites and provided great entertainment throughout. The team bonding that they encourage is fantastic and ensures that everyone makes it through.
This trek is physically demanding, even for those of good fitness, particularly if carrying heavy bags. Very much worth doing the trek though! The feeling of arriving at Machu Picchu with the sense of achievement and the feeling of humility and respect for the place is even greater after walking the path of the ancient Peruvians!
