Overall, it was a challenging and enjoyable experience. If you are looking for an authentic hike where you carry all of your food, sleeping items, etc, then this experience is not for you.
You are required to have porters and a tour guide, which isn't a bad thing; however, it places restrictions on the freedom that you have during the hike and makes the hike less challenging. With that said, it was still rewarding getting to know the culture of Peru and eating delicious food prepared by our chef.
The staff is reliable and prepared and make the experience unique. I recommend this hike for people who love the mountains and for anyone who wants a bit of a challenge.
