Chat on WhatsAppThis trek is one of the coolest things I have ever done. All of the aching muscles and tired feet were definitely worth it once we came to Intipunku and saw Machu Picchu City rising from the valley below.
Our guide Rony was absolutely fantastic, providing us with great information and backstory for each Inca site we visited along the way, and he did an amazing job getting us to every point of interest before all the crowds. Frank was lots of fun to talk with as well. The porters were incredible, carrying so much gear and having camp set up by the time we made it to our destination each night. And the food for each meal far exceeded any expectations I had going into the trip; we ate well chicos.
Overall this was a once in a lifetime experience that was made even more amazing by the incredible staff at Inca Trail Reservations , and I would highly recommend their agency to everyone looking to tackle the Salkantay Trek.
