Chat on WhatsAppI was very nervous when starting the trek because I had no experience hiking for that extended period of time and at that altitude.
However, the guides immediately put me at ease! They were extremely knowledgeable and loved to tell stories and share their experiences. Day 1 gave me a good idea of what to expect climbing at altitude.
Even going over the small hills made me short of breath. But the guides encouraged me that I would be able to get through day 2.
Day 2 was just as expected - hard. At one point I had to take break and take a sip of water every 15 steps on the way up to dead woman's pass.
Day 3 was very long but I loved seeing and learning about all of the ruins along the trek. Overall the trek to Macchu Picchu was well worth it!.
I would definitely recommend Inca Trail Reservations to all who want to have this experience in Peru!!! Thank you all I'll miss you!.
