I was not exactly sure of what to expect from this Inca Trail journey, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. I was actually pretty sick at the beginning of the trip and my guide, Victor, constantly checked in on me to make sure I was okay. He gave me a lot of encouragement and positivity during a very difficult first day. He really brought everyone together and it truly felt like a family. Of course, the trail and Machu Picchu were absolutely beautiful! You really can\’t beat the scenery or history of this trail. The food was also amazing! The cook somehow made us 3 course meals! Overall, there were early mornings, no showers, and lots of sore muscles, but I would not have wanted it any other way. This was a trip of a lifetime and I can not thank Victor or the porters enough for making it happen!.
