I just wanted to write again to say thank you for all of the work you put into making our trip go so smoothly. Everything from being picked up at the airport to being dropped off at our hostel after the hike was wonderful and we enjoyed every minute of it!
Bernie was the best guide! He was so funny and very supportive. He didn't let us slow down, but was understanding when we couldn't go too fast (especially on the second day). All of the advice he gave was excellent and saved us from a lot of pain. The food we ate on the trail made us feel like we were on a luxury vacation and our porters were so cool! It was sad when it came time to say goodbye to everyone.
Even with the occasional bouts of altitude sickness, we all had a wonderful time and would be happy to do it again. I will certainly be recommending Inca Trail Reservations to anyone thinking of making this trip in the future. The only disappointing part was that we were unable to hike Wayna Picchu, since it seems you need to have your tickets in advance now. But it was still a wonderful time and I know we'll be thinking of the trail and Bernie often!
