Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu August 27, 2011

We had a terrific Salkantay trip with our guide David, cooks, Ballentine, and Roy, and horseman Miguel. David introduced us to the beautiful Andes, told the history of our trail and its people, and shared his knowledge of Machu Picchu with our small group.

The food was delicious and always presented with a smile from Ballentine and Roy. Miguel is also the hardest working horseman in Peru. We truly enjoyed our four day trek around Salkantay Mountain.
