Middle aged mom discovers Machu Picchu

Our excellent guides and porters somehow took me through all four days of a very difficult trek. Our main guide was very knowledgeable and easy going. Made all the hard work more fun and interesting.

Hiking around a corner and seeing ruins and jungles straight out of an adventure movie was the highlight for me. Seeing those ruins almost by myself was really the highlight of the trip.

Well worth doing this trek - it is an adventure in the truest sense of the word, unlike almost every other tourist attraction that has been stripped down to standing in line and shuffling through.
