My first heart attack

I should start by saying that I am about 50 pounds overweight and am writing this while enjoying a celebratory Pisco Sour in Aguas Calientes.

Despite all of that I had a hell of a good time on the Inca Trail . It was hard, but it was definitely worth it. Everybody should do this once, but probably only once. I thought I was going to have a heart attack on day two when we had a six hour climb to Dead Woman's Pass and thought there might be a dead man for them to name a pass after too.

Turns out I was wrong and I managed to pull through day two and continue on through days three and four to reach Machu Picchu. The view from the Sun Gate is truly breath taking, or at least it would have been if I had any breath left to take.

Honestly, though, it is beautiful and worth every minute. If I can do it, you can do it. No excuses, book your trek now!.
