proud to have completed the trek as a fifty plus woman. The trek was challenging but fun and there was always something interesting to see around every twist or at the top or bottom of every endless set of stairs.
The Inca ruins along the way were incredible. I would highly recommend Inca Trail Reservations . The food was was great. There was always a great assortment and it was hard to believe it was prepared in the middle of nowhere in a tent.
The porters were impressive and an inspiration to see at work. Our guide Raul was fantastic. He kept us moving and kept us laughing.
