Chat on WhatsAppIt was an amazing experience. I really had no clue what to expect as I am not big into hiking or anything that take a whole lot of physical effort for that matter. Our guide Victor at the pre-tour session was really great at helping me set aside any anxiety and answered all the questions that I had.
The major parts of the hike and Inca Trail Reservations that stood out for me was that they were local company trying to make it against so many big, out of country, companies. The porters were all local farmers who not only gave it a very authentic, Peru, experience but also needed the money to provide for their families in the off season. The guide, Victor spoke both the local dialect and Spanish and English and had a real passion for his country and its history. He was able to answer all our questions with confidence and even added some humor which was very appreciated.
Overall it was challenging and wonderful... I would recommend this company to anyone considering the trek.
