Chat on WhatsAppFew things in life exceed expectations. This is my first trip to South America. I choose Peru for the Inca ruins, especially Machu Picchu ! Our fantastic guide, Leandro has safely and educatedly trekked us through the Salkantay route to Machu Picchu. I love this option as we have saved the best for last. Each day we have been inspired by the beauty and abundance of this most beautiful land of Peru. Our patient guide let us take our time to take in the large and small details along the way. I can't say enough how we felt so special to be personally guide with expertise of this amazing, life changing place.
That was the main pleasure but I would also like to say that we felt so well cared by the whole trekking team. The accommodations were ready upon our exhausting arrival each day. Our belongings surprising always beat us. Also, a huge big kudos for our chef. Our meals always delicious and served warm and always plenty after our energy burning trek. I would also like to give a special thank you to Leandro, chef and horseman for making my birthday special. Somehow they managed to bake me a cake on the second day of tour which was a long and difficult day by all over the Salkantay glacier trekking day.
