My first trip to Peru was epic. Cuzco was awesome; a bit of culture mixed with a ton of charm. We walked around in the friendly streets seeking out new things for our senses, colors and textures sweet smells and sounds of happy people everywhere. After a few days of acclimating to thin but clean and refreshing mountain air we started on our trek to the great ruins.
The first day and night were extremely cold but the views of the landscape in the day and the skies at night were worth more than a few soles. The next day was a hikers dream climbing more than two thousand feet up to a 15250 feet and using every kind of weather and using every piece of clothing except my shorts. And that was just the first half of the second day.
If you like trekking, South American culture, epic landscapes and don't want to watch tv nor disco all night long then Peru trekking vacation is for you.
