Well to start with my adventure with hiking the Inca trail to Machu Picchu. Well this was very unexpected and wasn't on the bucket list, but this was the most amazing adventure ever. Started off with a rainy morning which ended not to soon after we entered the check in point.
I enjoy hiking very much but honesty this was much more than just a simple day hike. Many steps up hill, down hill, and Stairs don't forget those stairs!!! . Hiking the 2nd day to Dead Women's Pass I was nervous a little light headed so my boyfriend offered me some Coca leaves, and I'd say they surely helped me! Slow and steady we made it to the highest point Dead Women's Pass what a great feeling.
I give a great respect for the porters, kitchen staff and guide they work very hard. Meals were amazing so much food, different meals every meal. Our guide Victor was amazing kept us all very motivated even at 3:30am when we had to be up to hike to the Sun Gate to Machu Picchu!.
Another thank you to Victor and the Inca Trail Reservations for a very memorable adventure.
